Transaction log is full

Hi,

one of my client is trying to add a new field in the Company field structure and when he clicks Finish, receives a error message saying :

 

The transaction log for database (database name) is full.  To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases.

 

Act premium 10.02 in use

 

Any clue anyone...

Luc,

 

Run database maintenance from actdiag. 

Database Rebuild and Repair Procedures

 

Then detach the database from actdiag and open the database's ADF file. 

  1. Click the gray rectangle on the left side of the DATABASE name that you wish to Detach. The entire row displaying the database information becomes highlighted.
  2. Note the path in the DATABASE FILE LOCATION column.
  3. Right-click the rectangle on the left side of the DATABASE name, and then click Detach Database from the shortcut menu.

Thanks for the answer...  I finaly solved the problem...  Actually, the problem was very simple...  Not enough disk space !!! on the server...

 

We made a major clean-up and we were able to add fields after...
