Connectivity (internet or server) is always the weakest link to SaaS.  That is precisely why we use a spoke/hub implementation.

 

At least we can work locally until connection to the server is re-established.

Would that work for 3 workers in different locations i.e. each working from home?

That is probably a perfect fit.

 

The good news - users are not restricted on how many times they can sync with the server.  In my case, ACT automatically resyncs every 3 hours.  However, if I'm talking to another co-worker, it may be necessary for me to sync before calling - say to share a document. 

 

We also use Skype, so I would post a message to the other person to resync before we talk.

I like John would always recommend having at least 1 PC or more with a local copy of the cloud hosted database.

 

You do need a local installation of ACT premium but you are entitled to this as part of your ACT for WEB licence.
