The database has been locked by an administrator

Today, I downloaded the upgrade from 2010 to 2011 first on the server and then on each computer. It installed correctly but when I try to open the database it says that "The database has been locked by an administrator. Try back later.

I have even tried turning all computers off except for the server, but it says the same thing.

aaaggghhh. Can you help?

Re: The database has been locked by an administrator

why have you not either restarted the server, or closed ACT!, and restarted SQL on the server? If the client computers open the database over the network from the server, then restarting the client computers probably won't have any affect.

Richard - I did restart the server as well. But THANK YOU. The actdiag did the trick and unlocked the database!!!

Much Appreciated
