Synchronizing 2009 EX Edition with 2009 for Web EX Edition

Hello!

I'm incredibly new to ACT!, but I have a quick (possibly silly) question:

If I install Act! Premium 2009 on several computers, but then set up Act! Premium 2009 for Web on a central server computer, will the non-Web installations be able to synchronize databases with the Web version that will have the (then) primary database? Or will the Web editions need to be installed separately on each user’s computer?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Yes, they will. An ACT! Premium user can access and synchronize with an ACT! for Web database on the server. The ACT! parts of the two products are the same...ACT! for Web just has an added web component. It is actually not advised to install ACT! for Web on a workstation, only the server.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
