Can anyone tell me if this issue was ever resolved? I am having the same issue on syncing a remote computer using VPN, except the sync hangs on the message "Synchronizing Files."

The TELNET tests described in this thread pass successfully.
I have created a Windows Firewall Exception Rule for the proper TCP port that I am using.
The computer connect and pass the "Initial Handshake" successfully.
I have confirmed the client and the server are on the same versions of ACT! with same hotfixes.
The funny thing is, the very first time we remotely sync'd this database via the VPN it worked fine.
