Sync not updating customized fields

Hi All,

 

We have one DB that we changed the fields (moved them around, added new ones (on the layout designer). Created a remote DB and when it installs it reverts back to the original DB format and does not show any of the fields we have changed on the Publisher side (all the contacts sunc fine just not the page design). Even after syncing, etc nothing changes. We have edited other DB's and the changes come across fine, but can not see anything different with this DB. Any suggestions as to what would cause this to happen? Running Premium for Real Estate 11 (with hot fix).

Hey Bob,

While in the Contact Detail view > look to the very bottom of the left hand column, there will be a button labeled 'Layout'.  Click on this button and you will see a list of the layouts that are available, click on the appropriate one.

It may seem basic, but have you ensured that the remote is set to view the correct Layout?

 

If it is looking at the correct layout, but the layout is not being replaced by the new version - as a work around you can manually copy the layout file from the main database ("databasename-database files\layouts" folder)  and replace the layout file on the remote workstation.

Hi Greg,

 

I do not see where you set the remote to view the correct layout? (all I see is f6 "view previous layout" but that brings up a basic layout not the edited one).
