Sync Schedule

How can I get ACT! 2008 Premium for Real Estate to sync 2 or 3 times an hour on my remote sites automatically?

Thanks,

Ben.

Re: Sync Schedule

You currently cannot - lowest level of granularity is hourly (once per hour).

I'm curious, why the need to be in a near constant-sync environment?

Re: Sync Schedule

1st reason, I need more regular data from one of my sites.

2nd reason. I would like to stager updates from the other sites to reduce network traffic.

Re: Sync Schedule

I forgot about one "trick" to achieve more than one sync per hour from a Subscriber database.  Using ACT! Scheduler, have your hourly sync at the top of the hour (for example).  Then in ACT! iteself, open Sync Panel (under Tools) then choose Set Sync Schedule.  Set that hourly at the bottom of the hour (for example).

Your second point about staggering your various Subscriber databases is a highly-recommended configuration - the less the concurrency and contention the better the sync throughput.

Good luck!

Bill, Sorry I don't understand how to execute this. ACT! Scheduler? Where is that?

Re: Sync Schedule

The URL David pointed you to contains all of the Scheduler information.  To access/launch ACT! Scheduler, either "Tools>ACT! Scheduler" or Windows Start>Programs...

Re: Sync Schedule

So in a roundabout sort of way, there is no way to sync ever 20 mins or so...? Is that it?
