Strange Advanced Query Behavior

When usiing 3 filter conditions in advanced query, the order seems to affect the results despite all three being AND conditions. This database has a custom table for opportunity products, and when querying by a specific record manager and a date field withing x days ago, plus a contains data filter on a field in the custom table, unless the contains data filter is the top condition, no records are returned. But if the contains data is the top condition, then records are returned correctly.

Does anyone know why this would happen?
