Start-up options

We are setting up a Start-Up manager which manages all the programs that are loading on Start-Up.  We have two that are loading that we are wondering if we need to leave alone

1. Act.Outlook.Service

2. Act! Preloader

Re: Start-up options

We also have one that is called Act! Scheduler.  This also is loading when the computer starts-up...is this necessary?  What exactly do these files do?

Re: Start-up options

The Act.Outlook is only necessary if you're using the ACT! Outlook add-in. If not, you can remove it from the startup routine.

The ACT Preloader as its name implied speeds up the launch of ACT! the first time. You can remove it but... it will take longer to open ACT! the first time. Not essential...

The ACT! scheduler is an independent program that allows you to perform automatic maintenance or backups. You can remove if you're not using it.
