Smart task to send a reminder in advance of a meeting?

Can a Smart Task be used to automate this sequence:

1) Schedule a Meeting (for some date in the future)

2) Send out a reminder 2 weeks in advance of the reminder to the Contact.

3) Send out a dispatch 1 week in advance to who the meeting is  "Scheduled For".

I believe I need to set the Meeting up as the anchor date, and then set up the reminder and dispatch IN ADVANCE of the anchor date.  But I don't see how to set up Smart Tasks in advance of the anchor date.

I am no expert but  ......  That sounds like a Activity Series.  (Do not forget to backup the database regularly)
