Shortcut key question

Is there a Shortcut key to Minimize the ACT window to the toolbar?

Re: Shortcut key question

No. If ACT! is the only application open of interest in Windows XP you could use 'Windows Key +M" and "Windows Key + Shift + M" to restore.

Re: Shortcut key question

Oh!, a bit of an  oversight, methinks :-(

BTY,  'Windows Key +M" minimises, "Windows Key + Shift + M" does not restore for me. Not much use anyway, as I 'normally' seem to have several windows open.

... and what happened to 'Shortcut' in my 1st post?

Thanks for the info, appreciated.

Re: Shortcut key question

You could just Alt + Tab if you have multiple windows open

Re: Shortcut key question

Thanks Graham.

It's just that most Windows software nowadays has an option to click on the 'X' (close window), which will minimize it to the bottom right of the toolbar.

I like that system.

Re: Shortcut key question

As does ACT!. Your original question related to keyboard control.

Re: Shortcut key question

You are correct, my apologies ....

Any chance that you could tell me how to set up the 'click 'X' option?

Re: Shortcut key question

I am confused. If you want to close ACT! as an application on focus then, like any other application, "Alt + F4" as a keyboard command.

Re: Shortcut key question

I am confused.

 So am I.

My apologies, I don't appear to be using the correct termonology.

When I click the 'X' , window, top, right, I want Act! NOT to close, but to  minimise to the notification area (system tray). I think that is better wording.

That way I click the Icon in the system tray to bring Act up again, rather than restarting the program.

Am I missing something VERY basic here?

Is Act running in the background all the time?

If so, how do I get it back up?

I'm new to this ...

AIUI, Alt-F4 closes down the program.

Thanks  John

If so
