Server Error Description: Synchronization timed out.

All my remote datbases are now getting the same error message, any advice out there please?

Mike, have been down this path.  Just got off the phone with a level 2 ACT! tech support person.  They tell me my master database is corrupt and has to be rebuilt.  Thank you for getting back to me.

Is this thread closed? I am having the same issue, but only one of my remote systems is having the problem synchronizing the others are fine. It seems that the system with the problem is not opening the synch progress application to start the initial handshake. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire application and attempted to repair the remote database. Anyone have any ideas?

Try bringing the remote database in, manually merging it back into the Publisher (not necessary if there has been no work done on the remote)
 
Then re-cutting it fresh

Have a look at this KB article. But be carrefull, don't forget to make a backup before.
