Hi, I have a User with two databases. If she opens a database and searches for e.g. a contact, the search filter automatically gets adopted by the second database. Is there a way to stop this behaviour?

Not sure which search filters your're referring to, however many of the filter settings are not done as database specific basis but on a most recently used basis. In that case there isn't any way to change the behavior.

This filter history is kept in the preference folder for the user. the only way to preclude this would be to use two computers or two logins via RDP, or to delete hte preferences between database uses.
None sound optimal

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the two databases always use the most recent search filters. Will tell the user that there is no way of turning this feature off.
