Save DB to local machine or better approach to solve problem

We are using ACT Premium 9.x 2007 Workgroup and currently have 11 users with appr. 70,000 records. The database is on the server. Our outside reps have experience problems accessing and updating records when on they are on the road -> network issue. The response time is horrible and often time data is lost before it can be saved.

Question:

1) Is it possible and a good approach to save the database on each local machine with only part of the data (based on their territory they cover)?

2) Is it possible to synch the data later on the server? Are there problems that I should be aware of?

3) Do I have to be concerned of the size of the DB? Is there a limitation?

I would appreciate a quick response.

Thanks.

You would use the Remote Database.  Create Synch set according to territory.  Make sure that specific remote database goes on to that persons system.
