Sage Act2011 premium - Dialler

 

We have had the dialer working fine on an XP machine. Just installed a windows 7 machine, whenever we go to

Tools

Prefferences

Communications

and on to the dialer it is greyed out and we cannot configure. Can anyone point us in the right direction

 

I am nearly bald now so help me before I pull out the final tuft! Please!!

You may need to run the ACT! program 'As Administrator'. To do this: close ACT! > right click on ACT! icon > select 'Run As Administrator' > test.

You would need to have a Windows TAPI driver installed. Have you installed a Win7 driver for your modem/dialler?

Have a look at the bottom of this page:

Download Phone.zip and extract the exe from it to your Desktop. Then run it and see if it can dial

If it didn't work, then you don't have a tapi driver installed ... you need to look at the driver of your phone/modem and have it updated
