Sage ACT Premium 2013 - Network Question



I am thinking of upgrading from ACT 2011 Pro to ACT 2013 Premium.

I currently share the database with my assistant and our two laptops are networked, so we can both access the database. But, we are continually having the issue of the network disconnecting out of nowhere and having to constantly reboot both PC's in order to continue working. It is basically the aux computer not being able to access the main computer. I have tried several solutions I found online, but nothing works.


I am wondering if ACT Premium 2013 will resolve this issue and if it is a cloud based system, so we can access the database from anywhere, not just the two laptops.

The issue of the two computers disconecting is not an act issue, but an issue with your network.  Consequently, if the two computers are loosing connection with each other, it is possible that one or both of them are also loosing connectivity with the internet.  This would need to be resolved regardless of if you went to a cloud based system.


There are a variety of Hosting Providers other than the one that ACT! is whitelabeling the ACT hosted product through.
