After successful installation of Act 2011 Premium Hot Fix 1 on Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Standard I get the following Errors when trying to create a new DB.
"Unable to create the database. There is an error connecting to the Microsoft SQL Server"
When I go into the Services administrator I see that SQL Server (ACT 7) is not started. When I try to start it I get the following Error
"Windows could not start the SQL Server (ACT7) on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service specific error code 17058."
The Event log message is not helpful in understanding what the issue may be.
I do see that there are two other SQL instances running "SQL Server (SHAREPOINT)" and "SQL Server (SBSMONITORING)"
If it matters this system is also a Domain Controller for my windows domain.
Has anyone else run into this issue and know of a workaround?
