Run as Administrator in XP - Please Help

Every night when I close ACT I see the message "Sage ACT! has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I have followed all the knowledgebase articles to ensure that I have Administrator rights ("control userpasswords2" & Manage Users) and it appears that I do.  However, if I logon to my computer as Administrator, open ACT, and then close ACT, I do not encounter the error.

Would granting me full read/write permissions to every ACT folder resolve this issue?

Hi Jillian,

You should be able to run ACT! as an Administrator user in XP by closing ACT!, right-clicking on the ACT! program icon, and selecting Run as.... Then select The following user and type in the Admin user login credentials:

Greig Hollister

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
