Retrieving ACT data in CSV format

Hi All,

Does any one have experience in extracting ACT data in CSV format. All the reports only output in Text formats and I need to import the data directly to Excel without the messing around of doing a 'text to column' conversion. I understand there is a way of unlocking the SQL database and then exporting the data.

Do you just want to contacts... or do you want notes/histories and other sub-tables?

What do you want to do with the data?

Inaport for ACT (from us) will let you select data from contacts or other tables and write directly to Excel, Access, or any other database format.

I need to get mainly all the opportunity information out, as it needs to be used in another report to our corporate HQ.

You can get the Opportunities directly with Excel using the OLEDB interface as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article - http://tinyurl.com/3k5fhx
