I backed up my data base to syncronize with the remote data base. I notice some information was lost and tryied to restore the database but i get this message:
"You do not have the authority to restore the data base. Please see your database administrator."
What could be causing the problem? What kind of authority do I need?

Two things that could be causing the message:
1. You ACT! username does not have sufficient authority. What is your authority level, from Tools > Manage Users?
2. You are running either Vista or Windows 7 and need to run ACT! 'As Administrator. To do this: close ACT! > right click on ACT! icon > select 'Run As Administrator'
Try closing the database currently opened (File > Close), then attempt the restore (File > Restore > Database...).
