This is usually a file sharing error. To resolve, try unsharing the main database (Tools > Database Maintenance, uncheck Share Database), then create the remote (.RDB) again, and attempt to restore on the laptop. After the remote has been created and restored, you can share the main database again. Note, that while the main database is unshared, cliemt users will not be able to access it.
