Relationships Missing Relationships Dropdown

I have a client that we upgraded to ACT! 2010 a few weeks back and they're
starting to use Relationships.  Problem is though that there's no dropdown
in the "Define Relationship" section.  If i go to Define Fields - Manage
Dropdowns I can see the Contact Relations dropdown there.  Unforutanely I
can't think of anyway to link the dropdown back to the "Define Relationship"
area.  Any ideas out there?

Re: Relationships Missing Relationships Dropdown

Is it bringing up a blank list with option to Edit List Values? Or just nothing at all?

Marshall, this doesn't help very much, but I just saw this behavior recently - don't remember where I was, but I think I was waist deep in another problem and put it aside, but I couldn't get the drop-down to 'drop down'

Re: Relationships Missing Relationships Dropdown

Thanks for the post Kevin.  Unfortunately it's not that the dropdown won't dropdown, it's that there is no dropdown associated with the field whatsoever.

Re: Relationships Missing Relationships Dropdown

Marshall,

A few questions I should have asked you earlier in this post:

- Is this happening on more than one machine?

- Does it happen in the demo database (ACT2010Demo) or a new database?

- Does it happen if you change layouts?

Marshall - I checked on the Demo Database and the drop down is working there.

Then back in my database I checked other layouts and nothing.  I even checked the default layout 'Basic...' and no drop-down's.

Greig,

I've got another client experiencing the same issue except they are on 2011.  Have you guys run into this any more?  Any ideas for a workaround or solution?

Greig,

I've seen this at a couple more client sites recently.  Any ideas on what can be done to link the dropdown back to the relationships fields?

Re: Relationships Missing Relationships Dropdown

Marshall,
Have you seen this in ACT! 2011 or 2012? I am not able to duplicate this issue in the most current versions. From the posts above, it sounds like it may be a database-specific issue.
