Recover Deleted Database

I realize it's a long shot, but wondering if someone has found a way to recover a deleted database. Below is the details.

One of our client’s database was deleted from inside of ACT Premium 10.03 EX(Tools->Maintenance->Delete Database). Is there any way to recover the data? In trying to get the data back, we restored an old backup to the same folder with the same filename (this might make it harder for data recovery software, if it overwrote the same area). We attempted to use Stellar Phoenix Data Recovery software but were unsuccessful. Does anyone have ideas if this is possible to recover?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Recover Deleted Database

Unfortunately, once a database is deleted from the Tools menu, it is permanently deleted. The only way we know of to recover the database would be to restore a backup.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

deleted using Shift+Delete can be recovered but when a program does it, it seems to be gone for ever. sorry Ben.
