Recording History for Documents

I am modifying document templates that were originally created in V6 but are now in ACT 2012.  The templates converted fine. 

When the document is printed it asks if you want to Record the History.  I want to change two things:  (1) so when the Record History dialog box is displayed the Record History checkbox is automatically selected; and (2) when the document is SAVED the Record History dialog box is displayed.  When I Edit the Template and select Record History (in Word 2010) it says "feature not available."  I've selected Word in my Preferences.  Any ideas?
