Reassign MyRecord to a different Contact Record

I am in the process of a Goldmine to ACT! 10 Prem conversion. The conversion / migration software that I use creates new contact records for the Goldmine users, and identifies them as MyRecord type records. They are not linked to anything. The contact records for the ACT! users that migrated from Goldmine, have all the data related, but are not marked as MyRecord. Is there a way to Link the ACT! User to a correct associated contact record?

Re: Reassign MyRecord to a different Contact Record

You can move the data from the non-user records to the user records by using the Copy/Move Contact Data function under the Tools menu:

- Do a lookup for the user and non-user records

- Highlight the pair of records to merge

- Go to Tools/Copy Move Contact Data

- Follow the steps in the wizard to move all the data from the non-user record to the user record

- You can optionally delete the non-user record if you do not want a duplicate

- Repeat this process with each pair of records (you can only do 2 records at a time)

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
