When attempting to sync a remote database, the sync failes when sending and receiving files, citing file path length as the cause of failure. I tried copying the database folder to see which files where too long and the culprits were query files under ACT\Database\ExampleDB\Queries file path. It appears that the files have dates appended to them as seen in the example below.
Example QRY File 2013-02-11 17-35-35 2013-04-01 13-09-42 2013-04-08 13-09-19 2013-04-16 06-00-52 2013-04-22 06-01-04 2013-04-23 06-00-58 2013-04-30 06-01-07 2013-06-04 06-00-55 2013-06-10 06-00-51.qry
I will assume that shortening the name by removing earlier date entries is a bad idea. Is there a way to rename them in a way that doesn't break the database connection to them?
Also, what can I do to prevent query files names from growing in the future so that they don't have to be maintained by the user?
Running Sage ACT! Premium 2012 Version 126.96.36.199
Thanks in advance for any help,

I've seen this happen with Template files in sync. This KB might help
