Thank you but the problem is I have downloaded and installed
Act! Premium (Web) Version 188.8.131.52, Update 7
The problem is that every time I launch ACT! now, the popup says there is a new update available.

Follow the steps below to disable the automatic check for updates option:
3. Under the Notifications OR Startup Tab, clear the Automatically check for updates every option (as illustrated above).
4. Click Apply, and then click OK.

Same problem here in Germany on about 20 client PCs!
Any time ACT! is restarted, the popup shows up ALTHOUGH Update7 was installed properly.
Disabling the notification is NOT an option, as there are too many PCs afflicted (count is increasing every minute, unnecessary support calls piling up in my queue).

Quickest way to obtain that info is from my test system:
Full Act version
- 20.1 PREM WEB German update 7
Full Windows version
- WIN 8.1
What access level the Act user has
- Chris Huffman, ADMIN (it's the Demo DB...)
What access level the Windows user has
What AV/Firewall is present (inc versions)
- Windows Defender
Where you applied the update from? (downloaded and applied separately, or used the "Act notifications" and updated through there)
- Downloaded and updated manually.
No idea what you mean by"..sending that in to us Via email."

Uninstalling and re-installing ACT! 20.1 incl. Update7 solves the problem for me, but is not a general solution.
