Problems with Lookup menu using Act!2010 with Windows 7

Hello all,

 

I am experiencing issues when using the Lookup menu with my new install of Act! Premium 2010 on Windows 7.  When I select the Lookup menu and try to use anything in the section from "Contact" down to "Other Fields" no dialog box appears so I can type inmy desired lookup item.  Anyone else seen this?  Thanks.

I've had a similar issue to yourself but with trying to open contacts. The only way I've managed to do anything with this is to get Act! to release the memory in 'actdiag' or reopening the database from file>open database.

Once you have selected the Lookup option, you can check for the existance of the Lookup window by holding down the 'Alt' key and clicking the 'Tab' key.  This will scroll through the available windows that are running.  If you see the Lookup Contacts window, select it and release the Alt key.  Now single click the down arrow and then click on the 'M' key (M is for Move).  This will select the window in 'Move' mode.  Now use the arrow keys and locate the window.
