I am having a problem updating ACT using the update menu item. After I click the new update popup ACT informs me I must be an admnistrator which I am. I then switched to the administrator account and it still won't update. I am using Vista Home premium with ACT V11.

You may need to disable User Account Control (UAC) in Vista. The following Knowledgebase article provides instructions for doing this:
With UAC on, Vista will still not allow certain actions even though you are an administrator.
