Problem upgrading data base Urgent

I'm running Act 2013 premium and just downloaded the SP1 fix and ACT says that it must upgrade the database.  I choose continue and it sqays "exceptions occured while executing the database Schema Update Script".  I view the error and it says "cannot start process because a file name has not been provided".

I'm running Windows 7, 8gb of ram, 64 bit.  Can anyone help?  This is urgent.

Schema update problems are usually best fixed by contacting tech support ... they usually do it free.

Make sure you make a backup before doing anything else...

Then try the repair options in this ACT! Knowledge Base article -

If still a problem, contact Database Repair as per:

I ran actdiag per the knowledgebase, but it does not show my database in the list.  I called the support, but they said that I have to have a service plan, but they will call me back to advise if that is not correct.

Are you on the machine with the database?
You have to do it on the server

And, you contact Database Services by the forms on the link above

Hello downtick,
Try closing ACT!, then reopening it by right-clicking in the ACT! icon and selecting Run As Administrator. If this fails, then test updating the demo database (ACT2013Demo) and see if you get the same error. If you don't, then the issue is most likely the database.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
