We have Act! Premium 2010 in a Windows 2003 server and we had shared a database. I'm able to create private meetings for a contact and these are effectively invisible for other users. But if a user uses his Windows explorer and goes to network and searches the server and opens the <databasename>-files share, he is able to see all attachments of this database, even the ones belonging to private records!!!
This is by design? Suggestions? Workarounds?

This is more a shortcoming of the windows operating system than ACT, but in a short answer, it's working as designed. Believe me, this one is an important feature request for many of us who support ACT.

You might post a request for this feature to be considered for a future version here -
Input from this web page goes directly into a database that management has direct access to read, and which they also track and gather statistics on. It also allows other users to vote on these so Sage can get an idea of the demand
