So our office has switched to Office 2007 and all installs were done before Act was. The problem is that Word 2007 can't be used to edit and create templates properly. I have read the knowledgebase and did the work around (saving the file in quotes and adding the ending .adt). The problem now is that when we use a bold company/contact merge field only the 1st and 2nd words of the are bold and the rest of the words are in a smalled font!
Chatted with online support and sent them our template we are using and they got the same problem. Tried to create a new template with just the customer field = same problem. Merged a demo database template no problem and the company name was correct. Tried to edit it and save it and the problem came back.
I loaded a PC with Word 2003 and edited some templates and guess what.....no problems! Then merged a record using Word 2007 and that 2003 created template and it was perfect. tried to edit it with Word 2007 and back to the same problems.
