Photo's - ACT2010 Premium

I like to make a photo of the packing of the product and put that in

my CONTACT  database,preferably as "picture"field.

Also I need to include this in my offers to clients. ( Cristal Reports )

I have database like

Product ( in stead of Contactname)  : Apples

Product details like : specifications, like red/green

how to add a link to a word specification.?

( how to do this, include this in Creports XI)

Thanks.

William

Re: Photo's - ACT2010 Premium

For the feild do this=.

- make sure your in contact detail

- go to 'Tools -> Define Fields' and create a Picture Field.

- Then go to 'Tools -> Design Layouts -> Contact'.

- use the tool down the left hand side to add your picture field to the layout.

I can't answer any of the questions related to Crystal reports, but for information about creating fields (including picture fields) you can visit this link:

Re: Photo's in ACT! Linking rather than ebedding

[ Edited ]

Photos, such as .JPGs can be linked to Contacts by making an Attachment to the Notes.

But how can the JPGs be visible on a screen form or report,

not just the URL to the Attachments folder which requires the user to click to open?

Using the Picture field, embedding the photo in the ADF, would eventually bloat the database.

It is already 10 Gigs.
