In ACT Premium 2010 Version 188.8.131.52, Hot Fix 5
When I create a new contact all the phone #'s are defaulted to
Country: (1) and Format: Free Form
If I forget and just put a phone # in it gives me this error when I go to another contact: "This contact no longer exists in the database" and I have to start all over again. arggggghhhh!
How can I get this to default to
Country: United States (1) and Format: (%%%) %%%-%%%%
I have tried various changes in Tools, Preferences, Communication, changing the default at the drop down, nothing so far -- HELP!! Thank you, Anita

Fill out the Phone field with your full phone number, including area code and fill in the country field on your My record.
