We have ACT Premium 2010 hotfix 3 and when (internittently) when users click snooze or dismiss on an Outlook reminder, Outlook freezes up. It seems to be reminders that are recurring mostly. This is a huge issue as we've upgraded our 39 users and many of them are complaining about this issue.
Any ideas????

After much headache, ACT support (Thanks Chris!) pinpointed the problem. Our anti-virus package although turned off, wasn't actually off. There was a setting in the registry that didn't get changed.
It's fixed now.

Are they clicking snooze/dismiss in Outlook?
If so, ACT! shouldn't have any connection with this...
If not all users, try an Outlook Detect & Repair. Maybe look at the Windows Event Logs for an error messages

I can't think of how ACT! would effect that
Only one user?
Anything in Windows Event Logs?

Interesting. I've had the same poblem in our office for a couple of years, with Office 2003 Outlook, after upgrading to Act Premium 2010 v. 12.1.181.0 with Hotfix 1 under Windows XP Pro. Outlook 2003 freezes on dismissing reminders.
I installed MS Office 2007 with ACT Premium 2010 newest version, on a brand new install of Windows 7. Worked great until setting Outlook as email server in Act. Again, Outlook freezes up on dismissing reminders. Close Outlook and restart releases Outlook again but same results on dismissing reminders.
We use latest Kaspersky business version of antivirus. Outlook problem persists with Kaspersky disabled.
Removing Outlook link in Act eliminated the problem.
Wish we could resolve this. The Outlook linking is a useful tool.

It is Kaspersky. There are registry entries that need to be removed. Disasbling Kaspersky does not help.
Try this:
Disable the following Registry Keys:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\OutlookKLAsAddin.Addin]
"FriendlyName"="Kaspersky Outlook Anti-Spam Addin"
"Description"="ATLCOM Outlook Addin"
"LoadBehavior"=dword:00000003
"CommandLineSafe"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\OutlookKLAvPlg.Addin]
"FriendlyName"="Kaspersky Outlook Anti-Virus Addin"
"Description"="ATLCOM Outlook Addin"
"LoadBehavior"=dword:00000003
"CommandLineSafe"=dword:00000001

Hi pdibuffalo:
I am having the same issue described in this thread. When you say "disable" those registry keys, do you mean delete them? This won't disable the antivirus email checking?
Thanks for any guidance you can give.
