Outlook/Exchange Email Attach

We are on ACT! 17.2, upgrading to 18.2 soon. Outlook 2010-2013 and Exchange 2013.

The ACT! Outlook attaching of emails has been very unreliable for us. I know 123sync is recommended. Are there others we should look at?

Hi cblair,

When you say that the attaching of emails has been unreliable, have you run into any specific errors, or scenarios where the recording of emails has stopped completely?

No errors.

We have close to 70 users, which the majority login to the ACT Web.

1. Outlook will disable the add-in. This happens at random on various version of office. (2007-2013). To enable it, we have to kill the ACT.Outlook.Service process . Enable the add in from Outlook. Close\open outlook. Go to the ACT address book, retype the password, close outlook and open it again. Usually this starts the attachment process again.

2. Hangs up. Often, the attachment process gets hung up on attaching an email. Then we kill the ACT.Outlook.Service process, restart outlook and hope for the best!

I want to find a server based attachment service. Troubleshooting the Outlook add-on for 70 computers has become time consuming. Plus we are missing the emails sent from tablets and iPhones.
