Outlook 2007 fails to restart with ACT! Premium 2011 addin

Hi Guys.

 

Small issue.

If I close Outlook 2007, I seem to be unable to start it again while the Act addin enable.

 

we are using ACT! Premium 2011 Version 13.0.401.0, Hot Fix 2

Outlook 2007 (12.0.6550.5003) SP2 MSO (12.0.6545.5004)

 

If I close outlook.

the outlook Icon remains grayed on the system tray.

And in Task Manager, the Outlook.exe process is still listed.

If I click on the Outlook Icon again. nothing happens.

 

If I disable the Act Addin within outlook. I can close Outlook and start it again without issue.

I have 2 other peeple here with the same issue.

 

Any Ideas?

Your right.

In my case it appears to be the Kaspersky Outlook Anti-Spam Addin.

 

Just a quick note:

The Kaspersky Outlook Anti-Virus Addin works fine with it.

Welcome to the ACT! Online Community!

 

The Outlook task remaining running in the Task Manager is generally caused by a conflict in Add-ins for Outlook.  To resolve the issue, you will need to disable the other add-ins and leave only ACT! enabled.  Test that Outlook will close completely, then start re-enabling add-ins and testing.  This will show you the conflicting add-in and allow you to decide if you want to leave it disabled or not.

 

Note: Often we have seen the add-in for iTunes cause this situation.  If it is listed, disable it first and test.
