Opportunity >Lookup selected>create lookup failure

In the new version - 2010 when I use lookup selected to create a smaller list of target contacts and then use the create lookup to access the emails of these subset of contacts the system does not return the subset but goes and collects all opportunities.  In 2009 it was very simple, lookup product, select the contacts in the desired subset, lookup on those and then create lookup then export to excel.  There seems to be an glitch as the create lookup now pulls the entire population and not the selected sub set.

Hello Delta,

Thank you for participating in the ACT! Community. Based on the information provided, your issue appears to be associated with a previously reported issue. An update will be provided if the status changes, or if an alternative work-around to this issue is identified. I apologize for any inconvenience this issue may cause.

It sounds like you are trying to pull up the contact records associated with your selected Opportunity lookup. We are aware of the issue with the "Create Lookup" option, so an alternative method would be to highlight the selected Opportunities, right-click, and select Go To Contact. This should bring up a list of the contacts you need. For opportunities that are associated with multiple contacts, all of those contacts will be displayed.
