I am using Act 2010 Premium and changed the name of the different stages of opportunities. When I open the opportunity detail it shows the names I created but when I am in list view in the opportunity window and I select the stage drop down box it shows the default names ACT sends out with the software. Is there a way to update this list with the names we use?

From your Opportunity List view, select the Process drop-down list box, and you should see the process you added (if you did add your own process; I am assuming you did). Once you select your Process, the Stage drop-down list box will be updated with the stages you added.
If you haven't used the default ACT! processes on any opportunities and you wish to delete them, simply go into Tools > Define Fields > Manage process list, highlight the process you want to remove, then select Delete Opportunity Process in the Process Tasks box. That way, they won't show up in the Process drop-down list box.
