Contact Record, Activities Tab, Double click on a cleared activity record to view the details. Why don't you allow for this?
I have to unclear it to see details then put it back to cleared.

At first, I did not understand your reply, but now I do.
When you Clear Activity a copy is created and saved in History Tab to see the details.
A). If you can't open one from Activities Tab then add a field or link column to click on that takes you to that History record to then double click opening it.
B). Oddly when I looked in History Tab at a Result Completed record there were no Details notes. Must have been the way I Cleared it or a fix in an ACT version. Because, I uncleared an Activity record, then did Clear and selected type Completed and the details comments copied into the history record.
