Notes chopping copy

For some reason, when I copy a note from email or a word document, when I paste it into the notes section it is cutting off the bottom half of the note.  When I click the notes icon and paste it into that, the whole note is there.  But when I execute the command to put it in the notes section of the contact info, the bottom half of the note disappears.  Any suggestions?
