Updated 22.214.171.124 to UD8 and obtained correct new serial #. Cut & restored new remote.
Unable to login as intended user & keep getting the above msg.
User is local admin, RMouse clicking on the pad file & running as admin. UAC is disabled. Have also logged in an Act! Admin & surprisingly that works but doesn't help the intended user. KB23936 has suggestions but no silver bullet.
Any ideas appreciated!

Try elevating the user to administrator in ACT . Log on as that user once and using tools run the repair and re-index.
Now take the user back to required status and try logging in again as them.

I'm running into the same issue, but elevating the user to an Act Administrator didn't make any difference. He is able to access another database, but not this particular one. He is the only user having an issue. We are currently running v21 update 6 so we're on the latest version there is. Were there any fixes you came across that helped?

This is odd as the registration of the licence is of the machine rather than the database. If the user can access another database from that machine they should not be getting this error.
A similar but different message is when a database has not first been run on a server and someone tries to access via a network but this is not user specific so if others can access that must have been done.
Are you sure it is the message in the Subject above that you are getting?

Yes, that's the exact error message. There is one other user getting it as well, but nobody else has any issues. I agree, I thought it was very odd they were able to get into one database but not the other as well.
