New Restored DB won't open on other network machine

I have had to move a DB from one machine to another.  The backup and restore worked fine and the Database can works fine on its new host.  However when other PCs try to open the DB file.

The error 'Could not find a database called DATABASENAME on host COMPUTERNAME'.

Interestingly the COMPUTERNAME in the error message is not the new host, but the machine which is trying to execute the DB on the host.

Pretty sure its not asharing or permissions oversight.

It also also happening on more than one machine trying to hook into the new host database file so its not a problem with the client machine.

Any clues ?

Had the DB set up on a laptop and the laptop needs to start being more like a laptop and move about.

Using ACT Prem 2008 10.0 Version 10.0.1.199

Check to make sure the database is shared. Tools | Database Maintenance.

The target location for a shared database is identified in the .pad file, you can view this by opening the file with a text editor. If the host database is shared correctly then try copying the .pad file directly from the host.
