Need to convert from 2009 to 2007

We hired a new employee who is bringing with him his Act data. The problem is it is in 2009 single version and we are still on 2007 5 user. How can I convert his data so that we can access it?

There is not a good way to save his data backward so you can bring it into your old copy of ACT.  You could export just the contacts, but would leave behind the notes, histories, opportunities, groups, etc.  There are addin programe to export all of these things to text and then bring them in, but would probably be very labor intensive and also cost prohibitive.

Probably best long term solution would be to upgrad everyone (there are other benefits here as well), then you would need to import his database into yours.

Sending you a private message as well. see your messages at the top of this page on the right.

Upgrade to 2010 then you can open both sets of data no problem.

Far easier than trying to downgrade, I think it'll be almost impossible to get all your data back to 2007 and if not very very time consuming as 'jonmklub' explained.
