Multinational/language options

As a relative newcomer to ACT I have been asked to assess the suitability of Premium to support our sales force in three different countries - UK, France and US. Our French office are successfully using version 6 but we want to upgrade them to the latest version and start using ACT in the other two territories. 


The question is can we support three different databases, one French and two English from one ACT server? Do we need three different servers to do this to 'firewall' information to within that company?


Any information/advice would be gratefully recieved as would any experience that users may have had of multinational/multilingual operations.

Yes, you'll need three different servers (or at least three VMWare instances).


It's one of the big issues that those of us who deal with international users have... when the database is created, it can only be used in the international version of ACT! that created it.


If they all used the US or UK version, it would be fine. It wasn't an issue with ACT! 6.0 or earlier, but unfortunately is now

Input from this web page goes directly into a database that management has direct access to read, and which they also track and gather statistics on.
