I'm banging my head against a wall with this one.
My PC had it's D Drive (where I stored all ACT stuff) by a Trojan and now I cannot open my old database. I had only been using Act for a week and it only had 140 clients on it but I had the layout, etc just right.
What I have tried so far:
1. Restoring the database files as a .zip - The error message "no back up files found appeared"
2. Restored the remote database - This only brought in 3 contacts
3. Tried opening the .PAD file in word pad and changed the computer name (host name) and file location to new location.
My colleague scynked with my machine using VPN but only has about 90 or so contacts (idiot didn't sync for a few days. Doh!). If the worse comes to the worse how can I get those 90 contacts from him?!
