Moving ACT9 from Win Server 03 32bit to 64Bit

Our company just purchased a new server that is running Windows Server R2 2003 64-bit.(NewServ) Our old server is Windows server 2003 32-bit.(OldSrv) We would like to move our database over to the new server. We have set up the new shares as c:\ACTSHARE...same exact setup as the old server...When we tell the client machines to open the PAT file it says it can not locate the database files on OLDSRV. We have tried editing the PAT file to change the host to NEWSRV. When we do that, the error then says it cannot locate the server check firewall settings. What are the options we have other than upgrading everything to ACT11 64-bit?

Thanks Much!

All users must be on the same version of ACT! so the answer is yes.

You need ACT! 11 for 64-bit support.

Re: Moving ACT9 from Win Server 03 32bit to 64Bit

Do we need to purchase ACT 11 for all the machines or just ACT 11 for the server? Can it back track with 9?

Thanks again
