The trial version should not prevent you from sending emails via Mobile, while I am not familiar with these error messages you are receiving I would like to know if you happen to have another mail server you would be able to test with to see if it generates the same or different errors.
I have attempted to replicate with one of our test Cloud servers and was unable to receive errors like this.

I tried with a GMAIL account, but it does not let me do the TEST of the configuration - Do not send an email either
