There are times when some of our history notes will not save or seem to disappear.
When users add history notes and then go back in, sometimes the same day, the notes are not there.
Why are they not saved?

When adding a new history, it is automatically saved to the database. Did this issue just start happening? Is the issue specific to a certain contact? Try running database maintenance from actdiag. This will not bring back the missing histories, but could prevent it from happening in the future. Also make sure to create regular backups of your database.

This has been happening since before I was hired, last year. It happens intermittently and seems to be more common for some employees. I have maintenance scheduled to run automatically and also manually run database maintenance on a regular basis. At least monthly, more if we seem to have issues. We backup our database every day.
The thing is that we don't always realize that the history notes do not save. An employee will add notes and the next day go back in to review them and they are gone.
