I have a customer that is considering using Microsoft Server 2008 Foundation to put ACT! 11 Dual Access on. They will need to access ACT! for Web in the future minimally and don't want to go through the expense of getting another server in the future. They currently are working in a shared environment and need a server now.
Does anyone have any experience with this server running ACT!? If so, what suggestions do you have? If anyone has any other thoughts on this I'd appreciate it. My customer basically wants a server that is affordable that can handle ACT! Dual Access so his saleperson (of 2) can get on the net to access ACT!.

Foundation isn't listed on the ACT! 2009 Sys Requirements doc: http://www.act.com/2009/system/
That in itself doesn't mean it wouldn't work, but Foundation isn't listed as a supported OS for SQL Server 2005:
I'd recommend going with MS Server 2008 Standard or, if cost is an issue, Vista Business (64bit to allow for more RAM) will support 10 users.

Mike - is there any update if Act2011 will run on Window 2008 Foundation server?
There is a deal running with a local PC supplier on a HP server + foundation, that is particulary appealing....
